How to Donate the Day of the Charity Tournament

At the end of the day, the purpose of this Tournament is to build the community and raise funds for the St. Rose of Lima school so that the children have a playground. we have kept the entry fee low and have no painting requirements as an effort to remove barriers from people entering the event.

On the day of the event you will be able to donate to the charity and in reward you will receive a number of in game benefits. Donations will need to be made prior to the start of your game and for every $1 donation, you will receive 1 ticket. tickets can be redeemed during your games as follows.

Re-rolls
  1. For 5 tickets you can re-roll the Seize the Initiative roll
  2. For 2 tickets you can re-roll a single die of your choosing from any roll that requires a 2d6 check (leadership, warp storms, etc.)
  3. For 1 ticket per die you may re-roll any of your own rolls in the game.
  4. For tickets you may re-roll any die that has already been re-rolled or force your opponent to re-roll one of his dice rolls.
Rentals

  1. After the round pairings have been announced, you can will be able to silently bid on renting a unit for a round. This will range from various units and monsters. The winner of the bid will then need to donate the appropriate amount and then they will be able to use that for that entire round.
Modeling and Painting
  • Models are not required to be painted. That said, we urge players to show off all that the hobby has to offer.
  • The judges will make a selection of the best painted armies and this will be put on display to be voted for by the attendees during the lunch break to determine who will win the Best Presentation award
  • All models are expected to be WYSIWYG to a reasonable standard, Exceptions will be made for themed units or armies.
  • Using a proxy violated our policy
  • Using a reasonable substitute as a "counts-as" another model does not violate our policy.
  • If in doubt, send a picture to the TO in advance to ask if it is acceptable.
Sportsmanship
  • This is a Charity Tournament for a game that is supposed to be fun!
  • Sportsmanship will be handled on a thumbs up/thumbs down system
  • Reasons to give a thumbs down include: your opponent was more than 15 minutes late to the game; your opponent verbally abused you; your opponent knowingly cheated(be prepared to support this with evidence to a judge)
  • These are not reasons to give a thumbs down: you lost the game; you had a rules argument that was resolved; your opponent brought a better list than you and capitalized on an unexpected synergy.
  • Thumbs down will be treated seriously and swiftly. If the situation warrants, the offending player may be ejected from the event without a refund provided.
Army Construction

The event will be using the Project Points Cost comp pack as presented HERE. These documents are updated frequently and the versions available on Wednesday, November, 18, 2015 will be used for the tournament.

We will be playing at 1,500 points as per the PPC comp.

Scenarios
Scenarios will be given out the day of the event.

Terrain
Terrain features will be used as presented in the Age of Sigmar. The exception to this will be that at the beginning of the game, prior to deployment, one player will roll a d6 and both players will take turns selecting a piece of terrain and rolling for it on The Scenery Table from the AoS rules.
