After learning that my eldest son's school doesn't have a playground, I was truly shocked. I have since learned that the school never had the budget to build it's own playground. The community centre next door does have a playground that they let the Grade 1 and 2 students use, but it is quite old and falling apart, Once I got over my initial shock and frustration, I asked myself how I could help. I mean, all I know how to do is smash things with a hammer(Sheet Metal Worker) and roll dice. But wait, maybe I could talk to my friends in the wargaming community and organize a tournament for charity. While I'm at it, why don't we get 3 tournaments going at the same time?
Now that you know where I am coming from, let's talk about the event and the people involved. Several of the parents of children who attend St. Rose of Lima school are working together to make all of this a reality. In addition to my wife and myself, Teri Litorco of Geek and Sundry, and Nathan Pullan from the Jaded Gamercast are working on this. There's also several parents who are volunteering even though they have no wargaming experience.

When will it be?
November, 21st, 2015. Registration at 9 AM. Games start at 10 AM.
What games systems will be in play?
Warhammer 40K, 1850 Points, ITC Tournament Pack (we are soon to officially be part of the ITC citcuit!)
Warhammer: Age of Sigmar, 1500 Points via PPC comp pack
Warmachine/Hordes 35 Points
Do my models need to be painted?
While I would personally love to see every model on ever table painted and based, in the interest of making this event more accessible to everyone, there will be no painting requirements. NONETHELESS WYSIWYG(what you see is what you get) will absolutely be enforced. Counts as is acceptable if it is clear what you are representing, but there will be no proxies.
How much will this cost?
We are still working on this as we plan and budget. Pricing and payment options will be made available ASAP.
